We were delighted to host our Chair, Iain at a number of Stobart Energy sites in December including the Widnes processing facility, Energy plant and the Foundry Lane office, where he spent time meeting staff. Accompanied by Ben Whawell Stobart Energy CEO, Nick Dilworth Stobart Group Commercial Director and John Story of Stobart Capital, Iain then visited our Templeborough power plant and Rotherham processing facility before heading south to Tilbury for a tour of the plant and operations facility.
Ground works are progressing well at our Port Clarence site despite challenging weather conditions at this time of year. The stone work in the main yard will continue over the next few weeks in anticipation of the arrival of Stobart Rail & Civils state of the art concrete paver. As the design of the site office, welfare facility and quality control lab have now been agreed, orders for these particular units can be placed and the area prepared by the groundworks team.
The Energy division’s senior management team attended their first Strategy Session with Xinfu on 23 and 24 January at the Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool. They were led by the team from Xinfu, who specialise in business planning and development of key people in order to deliver plans and achieve targets. All thoroughly enjoyed the various tasks and challenges thrust upon them throughout the two-day event.
