The first biomass boiler was installed in the spring of 2012 the Austrian-built Gilles boiler generates 995KW of heat in the form of hot water each year. Stobart Wood Fuel became involved at an early stage of the project, consulting on the fuel options and the above ground fuel storage facility. The bunkers are loaded directly by the self-tipping Walking Floor units, reducing turnaround time, avoiding the need for noisy loading shovels and cutting potential stress to the birds. Two more 999KW boilers were installed in 2014 to heat new buildings. The exterior space allows the Stobart Biomass units to deliver the G50 Wood Chip easily into site.

Stobart Wood Fuels’ large network, storage capacity and supply reliability were key factors in this customer’s selection of fuel supplier.
