Commissioned in late summer 2012, A Schmid boiler was installed by Imperative Energy. The boilerhouse was designed to form part of a new combined boiler and glasshouse facility, minimising heat wastage during transit between hot water production and heat delivery. G50 Virgin Wood Chip deliveries are made once a week direct into the fuel storage facility, which has been designed to enable Stobart Biomass Walking Floors to tip directly into the bunkers without the need for expensive loading shovels.

Stobart Wood Fuels’ G50 Virgin Chip combines a high calorific burn with minimal ash levels. The reduced waste disposal costs, combined with excellent energy yield mean that this option offers the most cost-effective heating solution, whilst also helping ensure flue gas emissions meet mandatory RHI requirements.
